The beginning of Rockin' T Friesians began early in 2004 with the purchase of my ultimate dream horse Tietsje, an FPS approved Friesian mare. She arrived here from Holland pregnant with her second foal soon to become known as Oso. Plans at the time were to sell Oso to recoup part of my investment in Tietsje. Those plans instantly changed that early morning when I found him laying in the grass next to his mother as he lifted his head, nickered at me and struggled to stand on those long gangly legs of his. It was love at first sight and I knew he would be with me for a very long time. My vision grew as Oso did and although I love the Friesian breed I felt the ultimate horse would be something with more color and a little lighter bone but still keeping with the temperament, beauty and grace of the Friesian. I began keeping an eye out for a couple of homozygous paint mares to guarantee me color in a breeding program. During this time my life went in a few different directions with some bumps in the road and a few discouraging moments. Late in 2006 a dear friend came back into my life and gave me the direction and faith I needed and encouraged me to follow my dreams. Early in 2007 I found Cheryl Ann of Indiana who was downsizing her horses and provided me with the opportunity I had been waiting for allowing me to purchase two of her mares "Pep" and "Dazzle". I now had my foundation mares and a stallion to complete a vision that began in 2004. The encouragement from an incredible man, who is now my husband, to stick through the tough times and follow my dreams has now become known as Rockin' T Friesians and Colored Sport Horses.
